Description

About ANSI #50-4 Roller Chains

CTS® ANSI #50-4 roller chain is a four-strand (quad) roller chain built to ANSI/ASME B29.1 on a 5/8" (15.875 mm) pitch. Four rows of links run on the same pins and on one four-row #50 chain sprocket, so a single compact drive replaces four separate single-strand chains—fewer shafts, fewer take-ups, and one lubrication point. Minimum tensile strength is 88.8 kN (19,976 lbf), and the chain is fully interchangeable with other ANSI-certified #50-4 chains and standard four-row #50 sprockets. Every chain component is heat-treated, shot-peened, and hardened, and the chain is supplied with a factory-applied premium lubricant.

CTS® high-quality ANSI #50-4 roller chains are built to keep your machine running!

Best when
All four rows share drive line and the load is even
Strands must run at different speeds or over widely separated shafts

Choose four separate single roller chains when the strands must run independently, at different speeds, or over widely separated drums. Choose the #50-4 roller chain when the four rows share one drive line and you want the load carried in the narrowest possible envelope.
