Description

About Triple Series Forged Link Chain

CTS® Drop Forged Link Chain

The CTS 142263 is a triple-series drop-forged link chain with a 142 mm pitch and a three-strand design that spreads load across the full link width. Forged from alloy steel with case-hardened or hardened-and-tempered options, it delivers a 790 kN breaking load (CD grade) at 19.80 kg/m, giving outstanding stability for heavy, abrasive, and bulky materials. The three-strand layout resists twisting and lateral deflection, so the chain runs true in long, heavily loaded conveyors.

FAQs

What makes the triple series different from standard drop forged chain?
The triple series uses three linked strands in one link assembly, spreading load and improving lateral stability - ideal for heavy, abrasive loads where a standard chain can twist or deflect.
Which steel grade should I choose?
Choose TN (20MnCr5 case-hardened) for economy, CN (18NiCoMo5) for corrosion resistance, or CD (42CrMo4 hardened & tempered) for maximum strength - we recommend CD for this heavy-duty size.
