U2 Split Taper Bushing | 2-7/16"-5" Bore | CTS

The U2 is the longest in the U series split taper bushing — the same 6" OD and 7" bolt circle as the U0 and U1, but with the deepest shaft engagement in the trio, which spreads the load and resists fretting on crushers, elevators, and big conveyors that see shock and reversing loads. It is built for continuous industrial duty: three 5/8" cap screws at 1,680 in-lbs of clamp, stock bores from 2-7/16" to 5", a 50 lb cast iron body with a precision-machined taper, and simple removal via the hub's jacking holes at overhaul time. Because all three U lengths share one bolt circle, you can standardize on the U envelope and swap lengths without touching the hub bore.
