About ANSI #60-5 Roller Chains 

An ANSI #60-5 roller chain is a five-strand (quintuple) roller chain with a 3/4 inch (19.05 mm) pitch, manufactured to ANSI B29.1 dimensional standards. The "60" indicates the chain size, and the "-5" means five parallel strands connected by common pins.


Five-strand #60 chain is used where a single or double strand cannot deliver enough power within the available space. By spreading the load across five strands, the drive achieves higher total strength and better load sharing, making it a common choice for heavy-duty conveying, mixers, and plant machinery.
