About S77 Agricultural Chain
The S77 is the heavy-duty S-type steel agricultural chain. S-type chain is the DIN8189 agricultural standard: it uses solid rollers and is pre-stretched and heat-treated at the factory. The S77 sits in the heavier half of the range. It is the size you reach for when the chain carries the main drive, the intake and feed train, or a long conveying run. When the duty grows heavier still, the next step up is the S88 Roller Chain.

S77 vs Other S-Type Agricultural Chain Sizes
An S-type chain is identified by three things: the pitch, which must match your sprocket teeth; the width between the inner plates, which must clear your load; and the minimum tensile strength it is rated for. The S77 chain pitch is longer on the pitch than the S55 and S62 and carries a much higher rating than both, while staying lighter than the S88, which shares the same rating but suits the largest drives.
