Wastewater Treatment Solution

From one-off custom builds to standard replacements — we engineer sprockets for bar screens, grit classifiers, sludge scrapers, aeration systems and every other chain-driven machine in your treatment plant. Manufactured from certified AISI 304 / 316L / Duplex stainless steel. The Challenge Water treatment plants operate 24/7 in one of the most punishing environments. Standard industrial sprockets fail prematurely when exposed to the realities of treatment plant service. Submerged in effluent, chemically dosed water, and corrosive sludge, carbon steel sprockets rust rapidly; stainless steel is a requirement for acceptable service life. Rags, sand, grit wrap around hubs and teeth, accelerating wear. Custom sprockets' teeth are necessary to shed debris rather than accumulate it. The sprocket replacement that requires shaft disassembly can mean 8-12 hours downtime. Rapid replacement designs are essential, saving time. Equipment usually uses engineered-class chains, which are non-standard. Custom sprockets can match them. Our Capabilities We design and manufacture custom sprockets for wastewater treatment drive systems. Standard grade. Good corrosion resistance. Molybdenum-enhanced for superior pitting resistance. Twice the yield strength with chloride SCC resistance. Economical for dry areas with HDG, epoxy, DLC. One-piece machined from solid billet. Two halves bolt around shaft. Plates on separate hub. Debris-shedding roots. Tell us your requirements — our engineers will tailor a solution for you. We can work from: Our process: Featured Project Custom multi-piece assembled sprocket for Sulzer Wastewater Treatment. Challenge: Replacing conventional one-piece sprockets required extensive disassembly work, resulting in 8-12 hours of machine downtime during maintenance. Solution: Custom stainless steel conveyor chain sprockets, featuring three sprocket plates mounted on a central hub and secured with M16 A4-80 stainless steel fasteners. The sprocket plates can be fitted and removed directly on the hub without removing the entire assembly from the shaft. Quality Assurance Material test certification according to EN 10204 Type3.1 with full chemical & mechanical test results and heat number traceability. Sprockets dimensionally inspected before shipment. Tooth pitch, PCD, bore size, keyway, face width, and hub dimension are verified against drawings. Duplex/super-duplex steels can undergo ASTM G48 pitting & crevice corrosion verification, while coated parts are eligible for optional salt spray testing. For abrasive, sediment-laden water conditions, hardenable grades offer induction-hardened tooth flanks for improved wear life. Where We Fit In From the intake channel to the digester, every stage of a wastewater treatment plant depends on chain-driven machinery — and CTS-ChinaTransmissionS can supply the sprockets and chains to keep each step running. Bar screens at the inlet, grit classifiers and chain scrapers in primary treatment, aeration and clarifier systems in the biological stage, and the sludge scrapers, thickeners and digester drives at the end of the line all rely on precisely engineered chain drives. Whatever the treatment step — and whatever the original equipment — we provide matching or custom-engineered sprockets and chain wheels in certified AISI 304, 316L or duplex stainless steel, built for continuous 24/7 service in the harshest wastewater environments.
