A three-strand roller chain is often referred to as a triplex roller chain, which is a combination of three single-strand roller chains. Multi-strand roller chains are designed to be several times stronger than ANSI or metric equivalent chains. Three-strand roller chains are commonly used in mining, transmission, agriculture, and heavy equipment processing.
